Christmas Has Come To Fairview!!!

Love our little town of Fairview!! So many neat traditions have evolved over the years, and one of my favorite is when Christmas comes to Fairview with the Christmas Lighting Parade!  Everybody turns out for this event no matter how cold out, and it was COLD last night. Next weekend will be another celebration of Christmas in Fairview with fireworks and tax free shopping!  Only in Fairview do you get fireworks on 4th of July and Christmas!! Lol   What awesome people we have here who work so hard to make the holidays so much fun for so many!!  Following are just a few of the really neat floats that made up the parade!

My Little Friend

This is my little Buddy, Sissy Cat!! She is 5 years old, and we've had her since she was 6 weeks old, so she really thinks she is people.  Can't call her a guard cat, but she does let me know when someone is here which comes in really handy with my hearing disability.  If I'm in a different room she'll come running in there and look at me with concern, so I know I better check.  Every evening she has to lay in my lap usually just for a few minutes, then goes to find her own spot.  Amazing how attached you can get to these little animals!

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we got to go.  Sadly they lost, but was fun getting to watch Gage play!

As I have mentioned Thursdays are Grandkid day here, and this Thursday, Winston and I made the rounds, park, library, and Jacket Stop for a drink.  Winston goes home with mommy for a nap in the afternoon, then I pick up Hunter at school, and we have our time together for a couple of hours.  This Thursday Hunter called me early, and wanted to to fishing after school, so after school we headed to a favorite little fishing pond, fished, snacked and I got to catch some really pretty pics as the sun was going down. Fun times with the little guys!!
Oh, and we did catch a couple of fish and had lots of nibbles!!!
