Before The Storm!!

Last night with the warning of storms and a cold front coming with a possible killing freeze, I took some pics of the clouds and some flowering trees, and bushes to look at if the freeze gets them.  Seems really late to be worrying about this cold weather, but, just in case, here's my pics.

Fun Times With Grandkids!!

Sunday we got to spend time with some grandkids who we don't get to see very often, our son, Scott's family.  Scott cooked up some delicious steaks on the grill, with baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad and, strawberries and ice cream for dessert!!  It was a feast, and we all ate way too much!!

This post is several days and a little bit of this and that combined.  After cloudy, wet, chilly days, we are finally seeing some wonderful sunshine!!
This week has gone by quickly, and these are just a few of the scenes I have captured the last couple of days.  Really looking forward to more days when I can get out and search out some neat nature pics!!

Saw this beautiful sunset Sunday evening!!  Haven't seen much of the sun since, and sounds like tomorrow we can look for possibly severe weather followed by more cold, freezing weather! You gotta love Oklahoma weather!

Thought spring had arrrived, but just getting a little ahead of ourselves, I guess!  Anyway, another round of winter has hit!  Just have to be patient.  They are calling for 80's later next week!

Sorry, birds!! Hopefully it will melt soon!

Spring???

Goodness, what a mixture we have had lately, rain, fog, snow, more rain, now maybe a few days of spring weather!  You cannot be bored with Oklahoma weather!  A few flowers and buds are peaking through to give us a hint of what the days to come will bring.  I love this time of year almost as much as fall.  Spring brings us promise of new life, and fall is a gentle winding down for winter.  Our awesome God does all things perfectly in His time!

Rain!!!

Woke up this morning to grey skies and a little wet on the patio.  Soon we were getting some much needed rain. We've only had just under a half inch so far, but we'll take it!!  Even heard a little thunder to make it seem like spring even though, it is cold and wet! I love days like this when I can just stay in, relax, and enjoy a good book with a hot cup of peach tea!
