After the front!  My beautiful crab apple tree took a hit! Soon it will be just bare branches with loads of pretty red crab apples to feed the birds this winter!

Just a couple of inches, but was really pretty coming down! I'm a winter person, so am loving it!

Cannot believe how much snow we've been getting lately!! The snow that came in this afternoon was beautiful, biggest flakes I've ever seen!! First a sunrise scene from this morning!

Spring One Day, Winter The Next!

Living in Oklahoma in the winter time you learn to get out and enjoy the beautiful springlike days when you can because it can change really quickly! Friday was a gorgeous preview of spring, so we got out and took advantage, horseshoes, bubble making and cooking out!  So glad we did because look what blew in the next day, an arctic blast!! Oh,well, was fun while it lasted!

Winter Has Come With A Vengeance!!

This is proving to be one of our colder winters that we've had in awhile. Temps are predicted to be in the single digits with wind chills in the minus the next couple of mornings!  Most of the big snows have missed us in NW Oklahoma, but it was finally our turn!  We woke up to beautiful snow cover this morning! All in all we got 5 or 6 inches of that beautiful, perfect wet snow that makes awesome snowballs and snowmen.  Kids got out of school today, so lots of snow activities were happening.  Bob and I spent to morning moving furniture to the garage and kitchen in preparation for the carpet cleaners Thursday, therefore I didn't get to go out and about to take pics of the beautiful countryside, but I did get a few from my yard.

So glad I am not one of these poor creatures!!

The Lord blesses us every morning with His beauty in the beautiful sunrises and the seasons!  Love that every morning it's a different picture!

First Snow Winter 2013/2014

Snow can be hazardous getting around especially as you get older, but it can also be very beautiful.  Don't know of too many people who don't just love watching it snow! Here's a few shots I got of our first snow of the season and just in time for  the Christmas season!  Actually, we did get a little bit of snow a week or two ago, but quite a bit more this time, and in the late afternoon and evening where we could actually watch it come down!
