August Sunsets!

Sunsets this week!!  The weather is slowly changing as we wind down summer of 2014! Starting to see some cooler temps after a very hot week or two, and getting some teaser showers. Got a little over 3/10ths last night and have a beautiful cool day today. Amazing weather for the last of August! Caught a couple of sunsets this week that were outstanding for color contrasts and beauty!!

Random Summer Shots

A few random summer pics from recent days.  We've had an awesome rainy, cool summer,  but think summer has finally hit here in mid August! Temps in the high 90's and low 100's.  Really not used to this, nor is my yard. Lawn and flowers starting to suffer, and me and my hay fever are looking forward to fall!

A strange little visitor came to the feeder last week. I had never seen an all brown and red hummingbird before. A friend told me that it is a rufous hummingbird usually found in west Texas but apparently his gps was messed up and he wound up in western Oklahoma!  He was very aggressive and chased all the others away. Wouldn't even let those large moths get near.  I was glad he only stayed for only about a day and half!

This guy was glad the brown hummer was gone!

Heat taking it's toll, but a few plants hanging in there!

Have gotten lots or really neat sunsets lately whatwith evening clouds helping to make some really pretty colors!

Finally master bedroom makeover done in salmon, rust, brown!! Have worked on this project for a year and a half now!
