Little Boys!!

Some fun times with mema! I hadn't had the boys over for a couple of weeks due to illnesses and other circumstances, so think we were all ready for a mema day! Yesterday Marshalene called, and Remington was really sick with fever and congestion, and she needed to take him to the Urgent Care clinic in Enid, so she called to see if Hunter and Winston could stay with mema and papa for the afternoon, and of course, they could!
 We had a great time.  First off watched a new "Curious George" video, then moved on to some games, Candy Land & Go Fish.  Then we all went outside for awhile to check things out.  Was a fairly decent afternoon, so we decided to go to the park for awhile, what fun!!

Blessed

24 years ago today I was blessed to marry a very kind-hearted, hardworking, and loyal man, Bob Truitt! I have been doubly blessed because Bob was my 2nd marriage my first being to my first love, Oren Wimer at the age of 17.  I had 3 awesome sons and almost 27 years with Oren before losing him to leukemia when he was 49 and I was 44 years old, never thinking I could be blessed with another very special man in my life.
Bob and I were members of the same church, and when Bob lost his wife to a tragic accident in 1989 our church friends made it their mission to get Bob and I together, as you can tell it worked! We now have 7 children, and 16 grandchildren between us! God had blessed us mightily through the years and continues be our strength and anchor as we grow older and the challenges that brings. I thank God that He works even the saddest moments in our lives for our good. I love you, Bob, and pray for many more years together!

At Last Gorgeous Sunset and Promise Of Warm Weather To Come!

Finally a beautiful sunset, it has been a long, cold, snowy couple of weeks, but saw a gorgeous sunset this evening, and sounds as if we have some really nice weather coming up!! Everyone is so ready for that!

 

Mema Day With A Sad Little Boy

This was a Thursday a couple of weeks ago, and this pic makes me sad.  This little boy had had a rough week. The day before he fell on the ice and split his lip open, then that night he got sick and wound up with bronchitis.  Poor little guy wasn't feeling too well here as you can tell! Still wanted to come to Mema's house though!

Winter Has Come With A Vengeance!!

This is proving to be one of our colder winters that we've had in awhile. Temps are predicted to be in the single digits with wind chills in the minus the next couple of mornings!  Most of the big snows have missed us in NW Oklahoma, but it was finally our turn!  We woke up to beautiful snow cover this morning! All in all we got 5 or 6 inches of that beautiful, perfect wet snow that makes awesome snowballs and snowmen.  Kids got out of school today, so lots of snow activities were happening.  Bob and I spent to morning moving furniture to the garage and kitchen in preparation for the carpet cleaners Thursday, therefore I didn't get to go out and about to take pics of the beautiful countryside, but I did get a few from my yard.

So glad I am not one of these poor creatures!!
