City Lights!!

Just love our sunsets  from So. 14th in Fairview America!!! This is a shot I caught last night when I just knew we were going to get a good rain, but it managed to go east and south of us.  I just happened to look out the living room window and saw this, so had to grab my camera and get a pic!

Little Bit Of This & That

Just a few pics that I've taken the last few days.

Would you say this is one relaxed kitty!! She's looking forward to evening when she gets to go outside to her pen that Bob made, so she can get some exercise!

This squash plant in the flowerbed just keeps getting bigger.  Lots of blooms on it and some little squash!

Have some daisies still hanging in there!

Stepped outside just a little too late the other night to get a good pic of the moon!!

The red 4 o'clocks are so pretty early in the morning!

New Roof!!

Kind of excited about getting a new roof after 13 years!! Wind and hail damage finally caught up with it, and the insurance company totaled it after the last strong wind and hail we had.  We had Salazar roofing out of Yukon do it for us, and they are really fast workers.  They arrived about 9 yesterday morning, and by 3:30 they were done and had all the mess cleaned up.  You could hardly tell by the yard that they had even been here.  We would recommend them.  Another crew will be back in a few days to put a patio roof up for us.  Really looking forward to having a cover over the patio after all these years of sun burning in the patio doors to the kitchen, and it will be nice to be able to enjoy our patio more!.

Pots doing well with the cooler temps we've had!!

Catching Up

Haven't been keeping up very well lately, so decided this nice cool, wet day is a good time to that!!  We have been blessed with extraordinary weather for July in Oklahoma!! Nearly 3 inches on of rain in the last two weeks, lovely cool temps, and the best part no severe weather with the rain not here anyway.  I have been able to capture a few pics of the beautiful clouds and rain moving in.  Guess I won't have to move to Colorado after all!! lol
Raindrops & puddles!!

Birthday Celebration, 4th of July Celebration, and Some Family Time!!!

We started the birthday celebrating with a family picnic Tuesday evening! Hard to believe that my 70th birthday has arrived!!

Granddaughter, Chelsea and hubby, Cody

Chelsea and "little" bro, Kyler

Great granddaughter, Saylor Grace, loves her Aunt Marshalene!

Papa Bob relaxing and enjoying the evening!

From the cookout we moved on to cousin and friend, Lavada Koehn's farm where my sneaky kids had planned a surprise birthday party for me with homemade ice cream and many of my friends and family!! It was an awesome evening visiting and watching a huge fireworks display that son, Scott had acquired at different places all over the United States in his travels!!

My swim buddies and dear friends, Jimmie Lou, and Barbara!

More awesome friends, Susie, Clara, Lavada, Charlie, Dawn Ann & David!

Bob's daughter, Susan, and granddaughter, Sarah!
The next evening we moved on to the 4th celebration at the Historical Society.   Hunter's turtle "Tinker' is the red, white, and blue one in the middle.  Tinker got frightened and turned back, so sadly he didn't win.

Hunter getting ready to turn Tinker loose in the creek!

Brad and Remington taking it all in!

Family pic of a sweet family.  Thank you so much Brad and Marshalene, and all my family and friends who worked so hard and sneakily to make my 70th birthday party fun and one I will always remember!!!
